Position Summary: Position: Experienced Video Editor (Contract based: for YouTube and Social Media content) Location: open to people in the GTA Reporting to: Marketing Team Candy Funhouse is looking for a skilled Video Editor who can bring our creative vision to life through editing and post-production. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling raw footage, enhancing visual elements, adding special effects, and ensuring the overall quality and aesthetic appeal of our videos. This position requires a strong eye for detail, proficiency in video editing software, and a passion for storytelling. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Marketing team to understand project requirements and bring the vision to life, implementing feedback to ensure the final product meets objectives. Edit and create visually appealing, engaging, unique, and high-quality content for YouTube and Social Media (TikTok, Instagram, etc). Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Utilize the most up-to-date features and techniques trending in popular social media content. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative ideas for content. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience of 3-5+ years. Proven work experience as a Video Editor, showcasing a strong portfolio of edited videos for YouTube and social media content. Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar. Knowledge of camera operations for both still photos and video, and knowledge of lighting and composition. Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking feedback and incorporating it into the editing process. Willingness to learn and take on challenging tasks.
