The Role: Director, Pharmaceutical InsightsWhat you are looking for:A closely connected cultureA total rewards package meant to enhance your work-life flexibilityFully utilizing your talentProfessional growth and development via challenging projects and assignmentsWarm and fuzzy feelings knowing you have helped your community, your team, the business and social causes through the Rexall Care Network Reporting to the Vice President, Pharmacy, the Director, Pharmaceutical Insights will be responsible for leading generic and brand programs, formulating management and program agreements.The Director, Pharmaceutical Insights, will interact with McKesson supply chain and procurement to ensure accurate reporting of analytics, rates and awards. This role will lead all aspects of trending to quantify implications of market/regulatory changes to pharmacy programs; as well as project management activities for all strategic supply sourcing initiatives. What youll be doing: Lead implementation of new formulary transitions by coordinating timing of release, inventory on hand, and return processes with the McKesson supply chain and Rexall Operations leads.Establish and build a relationship with new and existing vendor partnerships to develop, design and execute vendor programs that generate value to the business, customers and vendor partnersProvide project management support for all activities related to direct sourcing for a generic programProactively discuss business strategies with Manufacturers relating but not limited to new product launches, Rexall strategic initiatives, industry trendsConduct monthly forecasting on program billings to ensure accurate year end collections by manufacturerCoordinate contract amendments for a variety of programs by manufacturerEnsure accurate billings and reporting in collaboration with financeProvide mentoring and leadership to direct reportPerform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.Knowledge, skills and experience:Minimum of University degree in Sciences, Business or Commence6-8 years of relevant experience in either generic or brand pharmaceutical industryKnowledge or work experience in vendor or account management roles, particularly trade relationshipExperience in pharmaceutical retail is a strong assetProven ability to work in a cross functional environment and establish relationships across the organizationTeam leadership experience is an assetGood analytical skills and logical thinkingGood negotiation skills with strong eye for businessExcellent initiative and follow through skillsStrong organizational skills with the capability to handle diverse priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentSolid understanding of full Microsoft Suite with emphasis on sophisticated Excel functions and financial modeling skillsAt Rexall, we are better together.
