We are focused on supporting local and global lifestyle clients in the fashion, beauty, hospitality and CPG industries and work with clients like Earls Kitchen & Bar, Olympic Dairy, Arterra Wines Canada, The Rec Room, The Vancouver International Wine Festival and more.We are seeking a Vancouver-based full-time Account Executive to join our growing team and support our clients with smart and strategic media relations, influencer relations and social media. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of clients and promoting them to their target audiences. An influencer of public opinion, you grow brands and help drive sales through a range of PR tools such as news items, press releases, events and activations, product placement and social media activity, always with a creative lens. This role is an integral part of our team, and you will be working alongside senior leaders to shape your clients reputation and profile.Responsibilities and Duties:Write press releases, pitches, media briefing documents, case studies and weekly recap emailsPitch press releases and feature ideas to national, regional and local media across print, broadcast and onlineDevelop new angles, stories and pitches to further the clients profile, products and servicesRespond to phone calls and emails from journalists in a timely and professional mannerArrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients spokespeople - in person or over the phone - and facilitate these meetings where appropriateMonitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clientsAttend client events and support with event management, set up, check in and tear downCoordinate influencer campaigns: research influencer partners and develop presentations, with support of Account ManagerSupport clients social media accounts, creating and posting contentDeliver analytics reports for social media clients, reporting on traffic, engagement and follower figuresBrainstorm creative ideas for PR campaignsTrack, clip, and log coverage of client campaignsDevelop meeting agendas and produce follow up notes with action itemsDevelop workbacks and coverage trackersBe involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals with the support of the senior teamWrite campaign briefs and shot lists for partner suppliers (influencers, photographers, videographers)Support client photo shoots on siteUpdate and maintain client budgetsFulfill key performance indicatorsBuild client relationships and maintain a network of media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeopleManage a high level of client interaction, easily moving from one client to anotherQualifications and Skills2-3 years prior experience working in a PR agency, or fast-paced media environmentA keen interest in the media industry and understanding of the media landscape in CanadaExperience writing press releases and press pitches is a mustA relevant undergraduate degree such as PR, journalism or communications is preferredExcellent writing skills: error-free and grammatically correct press releases, media pitches, social content, client communication, etcIncredibly detailed oriented and highly organizedPresentation skills:From communicating ideas to your team to presenting stories to journalists, you can to organize information in a succinct and interesting way, and feel comfortable updating and presenting information to clientsAn ability to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on qualityExcellent media skills and existing relationships with contacts in lifestyle, food, wine and fashion PR across Western Canada (knowledge of eastern Canada also appreciated)Capability to work collaboratively and contribute in a team environment in positive waysMILK offers competitive compensation packages and several agency perks:Mobile phone allowancePaid time off between Christmas and New YearsProvided laptop or Mac DesktopWork from home Fridays and MondaysSummer Fridays in July and AugustMonthly team activitiesClient discounts and dealsHealth and dental benefitsafter three monthsCompensation55-60k/yearInterested candidates should send their resume, cover letter and two recent writing samples plus any secured media coverage youd like to showcase to with the subject line 'Account Executive Position'.
