One of our esteemed client, an Automotive Manufacturing company in Alliston is looking to fill 1 positions for New Model Quality Representative.As a New Model Quality Rep Associate, you will be responsible for New Model parts development and solving development quality issues. You will leverage your problem solving skills and knowledge of quality tools to quickly establish if an out of spec part condition exists and implement appropriate countermeasure and/or containment actions with Suppliers or other company departments. You will need strong communication skills to be able to interact with multi Supplier base. This position will also involve ever-changing demands and priorities, so the ability to juggle multiple NM projects, handle stress, and be organized is very important. If you have an eye for detail, a passion for problem solving, and a knack for thinking on your feet, then this opportunity in PN is for you! *RESPONSIBILITIESNew Model Part DevelopmentSupport New Model Problem Solving involving our Mfg., Design, and our supply baseGDP / RPU follow up and investigationPurchasing CBU Investigations, C/Ms and repairsManaging New Model Supplier relationships using NARS (North American Reporting System)Part or CBU (Completed Body Unit) Outflow Prevention support including initial containment, yard / in- house expanded checks, inspection and/or repair supportOverall knowledge about client's CBU (Completed Body Unit) production and/or automotive commodity manufacturing methodsStrong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple conflicting demandsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMeasurement tool experienceBasic Statistical Process Control (SPC) conceptsSupport trials at suppliers or of New Model Tooling, Equipment and Manufacturing Process maturationSupport New Model launch activities at Suppliers or in the FactoryCommunicating quality issues and related PN/Supplier activities internally and externallyREQUIREMENTSCompleted Post-Secondary Engineering degree, technical diploma, orrelevant work experience (min 18 months)Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointJOB RELATED MUST HAVESWilling and able to travel domestically and globally on short noticeWilling and able to work overtime (including weekends) on short noticeWilling and able to work flexible shift rotationWilling and able to support 2nd shift requirementsValid G Driver's licensePREFERRED EXPERIENCEParticipation in the REACH program (i.e. Kaizen, Hawk Eye or Safety submissions)Project Management experience in an automotive environmentDemonstrated experience with problem solving and decision making(Why/Why, 5P, Decision Analysis)New Model Quality Tools experience would be an asset: PQCT, FMEA, MQS/PAC-VAbility to interpret technical part drawings, CAD (Catia) dataAbility to analyze New Model part problems, identify root causes and negotiate C/Mswith Suppliers or other Production departmentsOverall knowledge about CBU (Completed Body Unit) production and/or automotive commodity manufacturing methodsStrong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple conflicting demandsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMeasurement tool experienceBasic Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts
