This is a hybrid role that allows for work-from-home flexibility while maintaining strong in-office collaboration. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to some of the most impactful and sustainable building projects in Canada — from hospitals and government facilities to post-secondary institutions and transit hubs.The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical engineering professional with a passion for project delivery, team leadership, and shaping communities through smart and sustainable design. If youre organized, solutions-oriented, and eager to take ownership of complex projects, we’d love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design project delivery from concept to constructionCollaborate with principals and design teams to develop engineering concepts and reportsPrepare calculations, select mechanical systems/equipment, and oversee design coordinationEnsure project alignment with codes, standards, schedules, and budgetsReview site conditions and existing installations, interpreting impacts on the projectAct as contract administrator when required, coordinating shop drawings and site reviewsLiaise with clients, consultants, and contractors; represent the firm in meetings and presentationsMonitor hours, fee allocation, and project scope; prepare contract amendments as neededContribute to quality assurance and enforce standards in documentation and design processesSupport accounts receivable and internal coordination for successful project executionQualifications5+ years of experience in mechanical building services design and project coordinationRegistered P.Eng. in BC or eligible for registration within one year(Senior **C.E.T.**s with equivalent experience will also be considered)Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and DynamoStrong working knowledge of BC Building Code, Plumbing Code, and Energy Step CodeExperience with high-rise construction in BC considered a strong assetFamiliarity with ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standardsLEED certification and sustainable design experience is a plusStrong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skillsWhat’s OfferedCompetitive salary based on experience: $95,000–$125,000Flexible hybrid work model + half-day Fridays all year roundComprehensive Group Health Benefits including a Health Spending AccountGroup RRSP Plan with employer contributionsEmployee Share Ownership Program (ESOP)Paid time off program + optional purchase of additional vacation daysTransit subsidyCertification as a Great Place to Work™ and recognized among Canada’s Best Workplaces
