Position Overview:TIAC is seeking an energetic and strategic Marketing Specialist to develop, manage, and implement innovative marketing initiatives that support Business Development, Events (Tourism Congress, Canadian Tourism Awards, Tourism Week in Canada, Regional Roundtables and Rendez-Vous Canada), the READITM Program, and Membership recruitment and retention.This role will lead the ideation, development, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns while ensuring strategic alignment with objectives and KPIs across all marketing functions. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen TIACs brand, expand reach, drive engagement, and support revenue-generating activities. Key Responsibilities:Campaign Strategy & ExecutionLead the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive, multi-channel marketing campaigns.Ensure campaign objectives, creative direction, and KPIs are aligned across TIACs marketing functions.Build and maintain promotional timelines, calendars, and content rollout plans to support timely campaign delivery.Campaign PerformanceMonitor and evaluate campaign performance, including tracking KPIs and outcomes.Lead post-campaign debriefs to optimize future campaign strategies and inform marketing best practices.Creative Development & DirectionLead the creative development of marketing campaigns, including designing and producing visual assets (social media graphics, email templates, event collateral, digital ads).Collaborate with external or internal designers as needed but maintain strong in-house design capabilities to deliver quick-turnaround projects.Ensure all creative content is cohesive, on-brand, and aligns with campaign strategy for maximum impact.Content Development and Brand ManagementCreate and manage compelling marketing content (email, website, social media, print) tailored for TIACs audiences.Safeguard TIACs brand voice, visual identity, and consistency across all marketing assets.Coordinate with the Communications Team for integrated messaging and earned media opportunities.Digital Marketing and Design SkillsProficient in digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Hootsuite, social media tools).Proficient in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator) to independently create high-quality marketing visuals.Maintain and evolve TIACs brand presence through both written and visual storytelling.Member, Sponsor, and READITM Program EngagementDevelop targeted campaigns and promotional tools to support member recruitment, sponsor fulfillment, and READITM Program participation.Elevate sponsor and member recognition efforts through customized marketing strategies.Support storytelling and success story promotion to enhance program credibility and visibility.Event MarketingLead event-specific marketing campaigns for TIACs major initiatives (Tourism Congress, Canadian Tourism Awards, Tourism Week in Canada, Regional Roundtables and Rendez-Vous Canada).Oversee event promotion, registration drives, calls for presentations, award nominations, and sponsor engagement.Project ManagementManage marketing projects, budgets, and timelines to ensure flawless execution.Coordinate with external vendors (graphic designers, printers, developers) as needed. Qualifications:Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.35 years of marketing experience in association, event, tourism, or membership-driven environments.Proven expertise in campaign management, digital marketing, content development, and analytics.Experience with CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact).Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.Ability to create compelling marketing visuals that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.Strong project management skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Priority consideration will be give to bilingual (English/French) candidates but is not mandatory.TIAC employees currently follow a hybrid model with 2 days/week in office in downtown Ottawa.
