If you are as passionate and hard-working as we are, join our team!We are looking for a responsible Warehouse Manager to perform a variety of shipping and logistics warehouse support. Duties of a Warehouse Manager include:Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in incoming and outgoing shipmentsAssist workers in shipping and receiving functionsMaintain correct number of staff for required duties and control labour hoursStudy shipping notices, bill of ladings, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, required to meet shipping and receiving schedulesOversee the incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipmentsDetermine space requirements and position within storage areas (freezer, warehouse, cooler, etc.) lays out position in coordination with QA Supervisor, Plant Manager and Materials Planning DepartmentMaintain warehouse and other storage areas in a clean organized mannerInspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contact approved outside service provider for timely repairs.Ensure monthly finished goods inventory is completed on time and accuratelyPlan and participate in year-end inventoryParticipate in mock recall exercisesTrain employees on equipment, shipping/receiving procedures and company policies including all safety procedures for their areaQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operationsPrevious experience with 53ft reefer trailersStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic computer skills for record-keeping and generating shipping documentsStrong sense of time organization and urgencyKnowledge of shipping software and equipment, such as label printers and scalesGood communication skills and the ability to work well in a teamPhysical ability to lift and move packages of various weightsKnowledge of shipping regulations and safety guidelinesAbility to work independently and within a teamThe opportunity to join our talented, dynamic, diverse and inclusive teams.Niche Bakers Corp. embraces diversity in the workplace and is committed to achieving employment equity.
