Human Resources Specialist Contract 1 year Hybrid (3 days in the office) Commute by Car 3-5 years experiences in HR Dayforce project / Worker''s comp & Form 7 experience preferred HRM course Flexible / Prioritizing Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Duties and Responsibilities: Deal with employee requests and inquiries regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation throughout employment history of all employees. Maintain employees electronic and physical filing systems. Assist in preparing a report for the compliance assessment of the Federal Contractors Program. Develop and maintain policies, HR programs, and ensure that actions are carried out in compliance with legislation and the corporate policy framework. Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial employment legislation, as well as health and safety regulations. Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities. Maintain data, conduct system audits, and reconcile discrepancies with other functional areas to ensure data accuracy of HRIS. Liaise with the third party regarding any system performance issues, company needs, and system improvements. Work with HR Manager on system upgrades, testing, automation of manual processes, as well as continuous improvements and efficiencies. Track, maintain and record performance review forms. Support payroll and benefits function when required and coordinate year-end reports. Requirements: University degree or college diploma in human resources management or business CHRP/CHRL designation preferred Minimum 3 years of similar work experience in human resources Payroll experience an asset Knowledge and experience of Dayforce experience WSIB experience Policy / JD draft experience HR general basic experiences Onboarding Events coordination Payroll experience
