About The Role As the Assistant General Manager, you will be instrumental in leading and optimizing the performance of Oretta Midtown. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play an integral part in ensuring employee satisfaction, customer needs and our brands financial goals are met. About Us Oretta first opened their doors in 2017 to provide Torontos vibrant King West area with an authentic yet modern-day Italian culinary experience. In 2022, Oretta Midtown opened and we are very excited to announce the opening of our third location, Oretta Downtown, in Summer 2025. We focus on delivering genuine Italian cuisine, emphasizing fresh, high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. Our menu features a variety of classic Italian dishes with innovative twists on traditional recipes. The restaurant's design typically reflects a blend of classic Italian elegance with modern aesthetics. Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve exceptional results. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors. Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Thorough organizational and time management skills. Problem solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and hands on approach to resolving issues. Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours. Passion and sound understanding of Italian cuisine, wines, cocktails and spirits is a plus!
