*TO APPLY SEND YOUR RESUME TO *About the jobPosition Title: Logistics ManagerIndustry: Consumer Electronics / Home AppliancesPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Mississauga, OntarioAbout The RoleReporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods from our global manufacturers to our Canadian warehouse and retail/wholesale partners.Key ResponsibilitiesManage inbound and outbound logistics including shipping schedules, customs documentation, and carrier performance.Oversee inventory planning and control, ensuring optimal stock levels across multiple warehouse locations.Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and customs brokers.Implement cost-effective transportation strategies, ensuring timely delivery to customers and retail partners.Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations) to align logistics with business needs.Analyze data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in logistics performance.Ensure compliance with Canadian import/export regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.Lead and manage a small logistics support team, fostering efficiency, accountability, and professional development.Required Experience And KnowledgeBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. +5 years of supply chain planning, logistics or related experience, preferably in consumer electronics or home appliances.Knowledgeable on process mapping and designAbility to translate business requirements into technology solutions Ability to work collaboratively across several functions and regions Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify gaps and propose solutions Continuous improvement mindset with a bias towards action Experience with successful deployment of ERP and/or planning technology (preferably SAP, Oracle or similar platforms)Industry certifications, such as the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or the Certified Logistics Professional (CLP), are a bonus.Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance, and Canadian import regulations.Proven ability to manage relationships with 3PLs, freight carriers, and other logistics vendors.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and logistics software/tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.Personal QualificationsResults-driven and process improvement-focused with a strong propensity for excellence. Meticulous and detail-oriented with a bias towards quality. Proven communication skills with an ability to engage both executive-level management and operational teams effectively. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a willingness to challenge the status quo. What We OfferSMEG is an iconic Italian brand known globally for its unique blend of technology and style in kitchen appliances.
