If you're passionate about hospitality and thrive in a leadership role, then join us to turn moments into special memories for our colleagues and guests from behind the scenes!Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Executive Chef and leading the Stewarding team in support of the overall Food and Beverage and hotel operations.Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spiritDevelops and maintains action plans related to the Employee Engagement SurveyManage the Stewarding team through recruitment, coaching, performance reviews, development and recognitionControl labour expense by managing the team and scheduling the departments labour standardsSupervise and assist an experienced team of +/- 20 stewards to complete their daily responsibilitiesMaintain accurate records and reports of breakage and inventory of Chinaware and GlasswareConduct minimum of quarterly china, glass and silverware inventory with analysisManage operational expenses and purchases to budget and reforecastSource plateware and glassware samples along with pricing and quality assessmentCoordinate with F&B in establishing operating par stocksWork with engineering to create and maintain service schedules of all Kitchen and dishwashing equipment, taking action of any deficienciesEnsure Stewarding and Kitchen areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaning schedules are followed internally and through third partyLiaise with night cleaners to ensure efficiency and accountabilityTake ownership to lead the EHC food safety audit and participate in regular internal audits and drive action plansEnsure all staff are trained on chemical handling (GHS)Conduct monthly communication meetingsWork closely with Banquets and outlets to ensure that all equipment needs are on hand and in good working condition.Ensure all administrative duties for Stewarding are complete to include Banquet Event Orders, Scheduling, Payroll, etcActively participate in the Sustainability Committee, championing departmental specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operationsEnsure compliance with food handling and sanitation standardsal Lead on Health, Safety & Wellness policies and initiativesOther duties as requiredQualificationsProven leadership ability that supports an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork, and exceptional customer servicePrevious management experience, ideally in Food & Beverage with operational knowledge of StewardingHACCP Audit experience an assetExcellent interpersonal and communication skill, both written and verbalTeam player with coaching, motivation and training abilitiesThorough working knowledge of MSD / GHS regulations and guidelines an assetComputer skills (MS Office software)
