The Role in One SentenceOwn and streamline every digital system, from website publishing and email outreach to data flows and AI-powered automations, so Umbrex can deliver world-class content, member experiences, and client services delivery at startup speed.What Youll DoWork with company leadership to help improve our tech stack, processes, and systems across our departments, including but not limited to: diagnosing areas of improvement, identifying new software, layering AI with existing software, and hiring and managing contractors for some process improvement components.WebsiteStreamline and automate the web posting process of our Content TeamManage WordPress (or a similar CMS) and continually improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and internal linkingContent analytics, keyword research, and SEO to drive increased web traffic Implement heatmap tracking and conduct UX analysis to drive improved conversion ratesEmail automation for recruiting and business developmentStand up and optimize Instantly.ai cold-outreach domains, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, warm-upServe as the technical and analytic lead for email A/B testing.Build and maintain lead-magnet delivery automations in Kit (formerly ConvertKit).Company-Wide Process AutomationMap manual workflows, such as survey-to-CRM, lead-enrichment, podcast syndication and deliver no-code or low-code solutions using Zapier, Make.com, n8n, or GPT-powered scripts.Prototype lightweight Python or SQL jobs when no-code falls short, and supervise freelance developers or data engineers for heavier lifts. Document every process throughout the company and identify automation opportunitiesData Engineering & AnalyticsOwn GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio dashboards: set up new events, goals, and attribution models.Deploy heat-map or session-recording tools (Hotjar, Clarity) and turn insights into conversion-rate-optimization tests.Build unified marketing-and-member-success KPIs, highlighting weekly wins and blockers. Stitch together data sets from multiple channelsImplement AI solutionsIdentify and implement opportunities to better serve our mission through the use of AI tools.Leadership & GovernanceAct as Umbrexs most technical voice, advising leadership on stack decisions, security, and vendor selection.Run quarterly automation audits to prioritize new opportunities and retire redundant tools.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, celebrating every manual step we eliminate.What Youll BringHands-on MarTech and automation chops - youve personally wired together WordPress APIs, email authentication, and Zapier or Make scenarios that save real hours.Data fluency - comfortable querying, visualizing, and telling stories with metrics.AI curiosity - experience using LLM APIs or low-code AI tools to streamline text-heavy tasks.Team leadership - youve coached junior implementers and translated technical ideas for non-technical peers.Process obsession - SOPs, checklists, and Loom videos are second nature.Basic Python or JavaScript, HubSpot or similar CRM administration, and experience in a content-heavy B2B or professional-services environment.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary (CAD): C$145K C$170K, with exact offer based on experience, skill depth, and location.Performance bonus: up to 15 % of base.Work style: remote-first with core overlap hours.
