Role Description Lead business and systems analysis activities for modernization initiatives within portfolio management, client advisory, and investment operations. Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to gather and translate requirements for transitioning legacy wealth management systems to modern platforms. Map existing workflows, data models, and system interactions, and help design new scalable, modular processes leveraging microservices architecture. Define current vs. future state processes, use cases, and functional specs to support API-based, event-driven ecosystems. Work closely with product owners and scrum teams to define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Agile environments. Participate in application rationalization and data migration planning for legacy-to-cloud transformations. Support integration of front, middle, and back-office wealth systems, including CRM, portfolio management, risk, and compliance tools. Ensure solutions align with regulatory and security standards and meet advisor and client experience goals. Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and solution delivery. Required Skill Set Bachelors degree in finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Good years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a strong focus on portfolio management and wealth advisory domains. Proven experience working on digital transformation or core system modernization initiatives. Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, cloud-native architecture, and integration patterns. Working knowledge of SQL is a must. Familiarity with wealth tech platforms (e.g., Envestnet, Addepar, Charles River, BlackRock Aladdin) and financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar). Solid knowledge of investment products and services: equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, alternatives, etc. Desired Skill Set Experience working with enterprise integration tools and API gateways (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee). Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps environments. Agile/Scrum certification (CSPO, SAFe) or business analysis certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA). Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions. Proactive, analytical mindset with a passion for innovation and modernization. Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced transformation programs with cross-functional teams.
