Position: Insurance Assistant Location: Downtown Toronto Hybrid (4 times per week on-site) Salary: Competitive based on experience Job Type: Permanent Our client, a boutique insurance brokerage, is seeking an Insurance Assistant to support the Commercial Lines team by providing attentive and effective client service while reinforcing and developing client/broker relationships. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a brokerage (including co-op placements) or formal insurance education. If you have a background in personal lines and are looking to transition into commercial lines, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: - Issue certificates of insurance and submit to insurers and clients. - Issue automobile liability cards and distribute as directed. - Confirm auto insurance for new vehicles with dealerships and submit to insurers. - Send second requests and follow up with insurers on outstanding endorsements. - Review endorsements for discrepancies, consulting with practice specialists as needed, and request re-issuance for incorrect documents. - Respond to Lienholder/Lessor/Mortgagee requests for insurance copies. Qualifications: - RIBO license is a nice to have. - Previous insurance brokerage experience or insurance education is required. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and underwriting processes is an asset.
