Accountivity is hiring!Job Title: Accounting Associate Location: Peel Region, ONJob Type: TemporarySalary: $23.00-$25.00/hourOur client in Peel Region, ON is actively looking for an Accounting Associate to join their team.Position Description:Month End / Year End including journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and adjustmentsBalance sheet reconciliationProvide some GL extractions/back-up for both the external and internal auditsAny other requests from the Accounting Supervisor (cheque request, insurance, vehicles...)Provide reports & financial analysis as required to senior / branch / operations managers to drive improved decision makingSupport Operations team and Branch Managers in day-to-day financial mattersAssist in process integrity and improvements, including developing automated solutionsSpecial Projects as requiredSkills & Qualifications:2+ years of relevant experience, industry related an assetUniversity/College Education with a focus on accounting preferred - CPA designation an assetExperience with financial close processes and financial statement preparation, good understanding of full-cycle accounting; knowledge in IFRS is an asset.Advanced Microsoft Office required specifically Microsoft ExcelExperience with ERP systems, Infor SX, MS Power BI and Teams, & COGNOS is an assetExcellent analytical, organization, communication, and team-work skills.
