The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-profit finance, experience with business analytics andproficiencyin QuickBooks Online, Power Platform andPowerBI.ThispositionisopenonlytoresidentsofCanada,whoareeligibletoworkinCanada.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial operations oversight: Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger functions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions. Track all contracts, grants, agreements into master lists with ability to easily reference documents.Compliance and regulatory oversight: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial and local regulations, as well as financial policies and procedures. Maintain the organizations financial integrity and transparency.Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reconciliations. Provide detailed financial reports to the board of directors, executive team and other stakeholders. With the help of the CFO, lead the audit process for the organization.Grant writing and management: Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications and funding proposals. Manage the financial reporting and compliance requirements of all grants and contracts.Non-profit financial expertise: Apply knowledge of non-profit financial management to enhance reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes. Ensure that financial practices align with the unique needs of the non-profit sector.Business analytics: Utilize business analytics to support strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the leadership team.System migration and integration: Lead the migration of financial systems, including transitioning from legacy systems to QuickBooks Online. Ensure seamless integration with other organizational software and tools.Technology proficiency: Leverage the Power Platform and PowerBI to create dashboards, reports and automated workflows that enhance financial oversight and decision-making.Budgeting and forecasting: With the help of the CFO, assist and track the organizations budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Provide accurate financial forecasts and adjust as needed to reflect changes in funding, expenses and organizational priorities.Team leadership and development: Supervise finance team members, setting clear goals and expectations. Provide coaching, performance feedback and professional development opportunities to strengthen team capability and efficiency.DESIREDEXPERIENCEANDQUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
