Probabilistic Safety Analyst Canada (travel to Bruce Power or OPG sites required) Experience level: Entry, Associate or Senior (Manager) IntroductionThe Safety Analysis professional specializing in Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) plays a key role in the leadership and performance of Nuclear Safety Analysis projects to help our nuclear client ensure the safety and security of Canadas nuclear infrastructure.They can lead and manage technical projects and are expected to provide guidance and mentorship to other staff within the Safety Analysis team. In addition to supporting projects in Nuclear s core areas of expertise, the Safety Analysis professional will support the continued growth of their nuclear division by expanding the scope of services currently being offered to clients in the nuclear industry around Probabilistic Safety Analysis and introducing new and innovative approaches to support new advanced reactor technologies.ResponsibilitiesSupport and/or mentor junior technical staff within the clients nuclear team, depending on experience levelContribute to the growth and development of the Probabilistic Safety Analysis team from an operational and technical perspectiveDevelop, review, and verify complex PSA technical reportsSupport technical deliverables and ensure quality and accuracy of PSA workInterface with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders as neededAssist with business development activities, technical proposal inputs, and identification of new markets and clientsCollaborate with other analysts, managers, and technical experts across the business to support the growth of the nuclear teamRequirementsBSc, BASc, MSc, or Ph.D. in a relevant field (i.e., Nuclear, Health Physics or Engineering)P.Eng. within the province of Ontario preferred Experience within the Canadian Nuclear industry (candidates across a range of experience levels will be considered)Experience working specifically with Canadian Nuclear utilities in Probabilistic Safety AnalysisWorking knowledge of applicable CNSC REGDOCs (e.g., REGDOC-2.4.2) and relevant CSA standardsProficiency in relevant PSA computer codes (such as: CAFTA, Phoenix RM, AIMS, RiskSpectrum, SAPHIRE)Must be a subject matter expert or developing expertise in Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA)Strong initiative and a drive to grow business and innovateProven leadership capabilities and/or potential, with strong mentoring, interpersonal, and motivational skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to articulate concepts effectivelyDemonstrated technical report writing abilities is a requirement for this roleHigh attention to detail; follows through to ensure accuracy and comprehensivenessWhat We OfferWhy work with Brunel?
