Job Title : Manufacturing Controller/Plant Controller Location : Windsor, ON, CANADA (Onsite)Full Time Job Summary The Controller (Multi-site Ops) is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of multi-site manufacturing operations. This includes financial reporting, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with corporate policies and external regulations. The role provides data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and works closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.Analyze plant performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights to leadership.2. Cost Management Oversee standard costing processes, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring accurate product and material costing.3. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvement.4. Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures.Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.Coordinate with external auditors and oversee compliance audits.5. Business Partnering & Leadership Work closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.Provide financial guidance on capital investments, cost optimization, and business case development.Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Qualifications Education & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required).CPA/CMA designation (Preferred).Experience 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing accounting or plant controllership.Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of cost accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting. Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably EPICOR) and advanced Excel skills.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Communication & Working Relationships Internal: Finance Team, Senior Management, Plant Managers.External: External Auditors. Working Conditions50% of work will take place on the production floor in a manufacturing/industrial setting.Exposure to automotive vehicles, machinery, chemicals, robotics, and various weather conditions.Personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the production floor.
