Above all else, we believe in doing the right thing for our people, our communities and our planet.Reporting into the Director, Brand Accounting, the Analyst, Fixed Assets will be responsible for a wide variety of finance-related tasks that are primarily associated with the maintenance of fixed assets for all corporate restaurants. This role will also be responsible for preparing financial statements for Brand(s) and corporate restaurants.What you will do in this role:Fixed Assets Analyst: (70%)Performing various functions to ensure effective maintenance of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.Preparing fixed assets continuity schedules and notes to the financial statement for external financial reporting.Managing a full cycle of fixed assets from acquisition to disposition of fixed assetsPreparing various fixed assets schedules on a monthly basis such as new CAPEX schedule, NBV Analysis, fixed assets continuity (Canadian and US)Allocate tag numbers to fixed assets to effectively track themPerforming depreciation run for all fixed assetsPreparing YTD fixed assets capital spend schedule to compare actual spend with the Brands budget and provide capex forecast for the yearReconciling continuity schedule with the balance sheetPreparing and reviewing notes to the financial statementSupport preparation of quarterly impairment review of fixed assetsSupport preparation of annual depreciation budgets and forecastsPreparing fixed assets schedules for external auditors and supporting them with related inquiriesBrand Accountant: (30%)Preparation of monthly operating financial statements according to established timeframesPrepare month-end journal entriesLiaise with internal departments (Accounts Payable/Receivable, Banking, Payroll, Tax and Real Estate)Liaise with restaurant managers to provide guidance and support on accounting issues and cost reviews of the monthly operating statementsMonthly Balance Sheet account reconciliationsPreparation of year-end audit working papersWhat we are looking for from you:Bachelors degree in Business or AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Student enrolled in CPAKnowledge of accounting principles such as IFRS and GAAPExperience and knowledge of fixed assets and General LedgerStrong analytical and ability to pay attention to detailsExcellent time management skills to meet deadlinesAbility to work independentlyProficiency in Google SheetsExperience with JDE, and ReportsNowWhats in it for you?Flexible/Hybrid work environmentYoud be joining a close-knit, innovative team of creative and energetic go-gettersYoud be a part of Canadas largest full-service restaurant company that leads the industry in size and innovation20% associate discount dining card and monthly dining allowance valid at participating Recipe brandsA welcoming, fun and safe work environment founded on respectCareer advancement opportunities with a company that owns some of Canadas most iconic restaurant brandsIndustry-leading benefits, wellness programs, and total rewards programsRecipe is committed to providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
