Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is urgently hiring a Regular Full-Time Registered Sonographer on our General Ultrasound team in Medical Imaging. Summary of DutiesPerform ultrasound imaging exams as part of the General Ultrasound team, rotating through days, evening, weekends and call shiftsProvide services (which could include but not limited) to inpatients and outpatients, ED, OR, Women & Babies US, Breast Imaging, and/or Neuro Doppler division as required Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, OBGYN, small parts, breast, MSK, neuro Doppler, vascular, and u/s guided procedures including CEUS.Performs and troubleshoots required care and maintenance of ultrasound and Medical Imaging equipment as required to ensure they are performing in an effective and manner.Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required.Prepare and maintains adequate written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results according to departmental policy and proceduresCollaborates and participate in teaching, research, educational, safety and quality improvement programs.Qualifications/SkillsGraduate of an accredited Ultrasound programCMRITO Registration in the specialty of Diagnostic Medical SonographyCurrent credentialed member of Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS RVT qualification preferredRecent sonography experience in a similar/related setting is an assetAbility to work a variety of shifts and on call rotationExcellent organizational skills, able to organize and prioritize work.Proven time management skillsDemonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, and also at times independently.Strong verbal & written communication skillsDemonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making, problem recognition and problem solving skills
