About Scispot Were a Y Combinator-backed startup on a mission to turn every lab into an AI power house. Our multi-agent platform integrates AI agents into lab operations. Our main AI agent, Scibot, helps automate experiments, manage data, and deliver insights. We move fast, collaborate often, and push the boundaries of biotech R&D. We have seen the first generation of agents with a basic understanding of chat interface. I think Gen 2 versions of agents will be hidden in the UX. Were seeking a Senior AI Product Designer to craft user experiences driven by advanced AI. Youll work at the intersection of design, engineering, and biotech R&D. This person will play an instrumental role in crafting user experiences that creates Aha moments for scientists. AI-Driven UX & Visual Design Collaborate with AI engineers to design interfaces that handle real-time data and dynamic outputs. Prototyping & Testing Build quick prototypes in Figma/React/Replit/Cursor to validate ideas and technical feasibility Run user tests with scientists to gather feedback. Iterate rapidly based on data and user behavior. Understand our backend (Node, Java, Python) and AI stack Align front-end prototypes (React) with the existing API and microservices based architecture. Collaborate on containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure designs function at scale. Contribute design inputs to data pipelines (OpenSearch, MongoDB, CosmosDB). Ensure a consistent user experience across web app, data dashboards, and AI agent interfaces. Mentor junior designers or engineers on best practices in user-centric design. AI Product Design Experience ~3+ years designing software that leverages AI or data. ~ Solid track record turning user needs into compelling design solutions. Comfortable in Figma or similar design tools. Some knowledge of React or other front-end frameworks. Skilled at translating technical AI workflows into intuitive experiences. Great at presenting design rationale to engineers and product teams. Startup Adaptability Organizes tasks effectively to meet agile milestones. Experience with lab workflows, genomics data, or scientific software.
