Your Mission: Champion Safety Across Our Canadian OperationsAs a Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining a strong culture of safety across our Canadian operations, with a focus on Ontario and Quebec. You’ll work directly with field teams and leadership to drive compliance, prevent workplace injuries, and support workers’ compensation claims. This high-travel role is ideal for a bilingual (English/French) safety professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about creating safer workplaces.Your Impact: Lead Safety Practices and Support Injury ManagementWorkplace Safety LeadershipConduct accident and incident investigations, ensuring timely and compliant OHNS reporting.Facilitate open and productive safety conversations between employees and management, promoting a culture of safety awareness.Identify trends and opportunities to reduce workplace injuries and implement improvements.Lead and deliver safety training programs on Canadian Occupational Health and Safety (OHNS) regulations, emergency procedures, and workplace safety best practices.Review existing safety training materials and recommend enhancements to reflect evolving best practices.Safety Program Implementation & AuditsConduct regular safety audits and inspections, maintaining a detailed schedule of site visits and risk assessments.Draft inspection reports and maintain thorough documentation of findings, corrective actions, and follow-up.Support the development and enforcement of safety policies and inspection protocols.Collect and incorporate employee feedback into safety procedures and program development.Workers’ Compensation SupportAssist in managing Workers’ Compensation claims in Ontario and Quebec, including coordination with medical providers, internal stakeholders, and governmental agencies.Serve as a liaison between field teams, injured employees, and third-party administrators.Monitor return-to-work progress and support resolution of complex claims cases.Position Requirements:Bilingual (English/French) required.5+ years of experience in environmental health, occupational safety, or a related field.Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related discipline required.Extensive knowledge of Canadian OHNS regulations and Workers’ Compensation guidelines in Ontario and Quebec.Proven experience conducting accident investigations, safety audits, and training delivery.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inspection-related technologies.Willingness to travel 60-75% of the time across Canadian sites.Why Join Us?Safety is more than a priority—it’s a core value.
