Insight Global is looking for an Energy Trader to join a large North American power generation company. This opportunity is for an experienced trader to be instrumental in further developing the team's cash and term trading and asset optimization strategies in the PJM Power market. The successful candidate will have a quantitative background with a proven track record both creating and executing trading and risk management strategies. Must Haves:5-10 years of experience managing assets/trading in power markets (Wind and/or Gas). 1+ year(s) of experience working in PJM or ERCOT and MISO power markets. Strong experience with Excel and data analysis. A strong understanding of physical flows, transmission tariffs, and charges, throughout the US, including the ability to execute advanced trading strategies. Experience trading heat rates, locational spreads, and time spreads. Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, finance, or a related field. Plusses:Proficiency in relevant trading platforms and analytical tools, such as Python, SQL, and R.
