A global education provider is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. This remote role requires candidates to be commutable to Toronto for ad hoc in-office requirements. This is a varied generalist position covering a broad range of commercial legal matters, including Commercial Contracts, IP & Media, Litigation, and Commercial Real Property (including Commercial Leasing) . A high proportion of the work will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements. Commercial Law Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, license agreements, partnership agreements with universities, commercial leases, and terms & conditions . Work alongside the central legal team to ensure compliance and strategic alignment. Lead negotiations with customers, suppliers, partner universities, and agents . Manage external counsel and corporate services providers . Corporate Law Support M&A transactions and corporate structuring. Advise on corporate governance, partnerships, and joint ventures . At least three years of post-qualification experience in a nationally recognized law firm focusing on commercial contracts. Completed an M&A or banking seat during training.
