Job Title: Senior Configuration Management Specialist LC4ISR ProgramCompany Overview: KWESST develops and delivers next-generation military and public safety technology for military and first responder customers. The company is proudly Canadian and provides Dismounted/Mounted Domain Expertise in Command-and-Control software development, integration, and support services.Job Description: KWESST is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Configuration Management (CM) specialist to join our LC4ISR program in an Obsolescence Management role. This role focuses on the tracking and archiving of software data items as part of the LC4ISR Obsolescence Management process.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive CM plans and proceduresManage configuration identification, control, status accounting, and auditing of software elementsEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices for configuration managementProvide support to team members on configuration management tools and processesConduct audits and reviews of software within the LC4ISR System of Systems to verify current software status, most recent updates, end-of-support dates, and licensingMake recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on software life-cyclingCollaborate with external partners and stakeholders to manage configuration data and information sharingTrack the current status of software items in development and in useTrack software items being decommissioned or replacedArchive software items being discontinued from further developmentLinking in with the Build Books team to archive the latest software buildsManage ITAR/CGP requirements applicable to specific software itemsMaintain data filing processes & registriesMaintain any data exchanges (i.e. secure FTP) required to move the software from system to systemManage the software Configuration Item (CI) environmentConduct research to find better CM/DM toolsQualifications:Must possess an active SECRET security clearanceMust be eligible to be vetted as part of the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)Minimum of 10 years of industry experience to qualify as a Senior CM specialistProficiency in CM tools such as Confluence, IBM Rational ClearCase, Jira, or similarExperience with software life-cycle management is an assetExperience with software obsolescence is important Experience in Data Management (DM) and Configuration Management (CM) best practicesCertificate in Information Management, or a related field, or equivalent experienceExperience with MS Office, especially MS Excel and Sharepoint Experience with data gathering using Google and AI toolsFamiliarity with DOORS is an assetGood understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.Understanding of Controlled Goods Program and ITAR processes is desiredKnowledge of SAFe Agile principlesUnderstanding of the DND organization is an asset Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are a mustExceptional oral and written communication skills are a mustAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHow to Apply: If you have a strong passion for software product quality and are eager to join the dynamic team at KWESST, we invite you to submit your resume.
