The Municipality of Lorne is seeking a motivated, energetic individual to fill the newly created position of Finance Officer. This position reports directly to the CAO. Responsibilities Key responsibilities of the position include: -Creation of the annual financial plan -Development of an asset management plan -Ensuring sound financial controls are in place and followed -Advising on financial matters -Preparation of financial reports Qualifications Ideally, you will have experience in financial work. Strong accounting, communication, and analytical skills are just some of the requirements of the position. Candidates who have completed designated accounting courses, the Certified Manitoba Municipal Administrator course, or other relevant discipline bring an educational advantage to the position.
