Our dedicated team takes pride in serving he community showing empathy, and kindness to our patients.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Burnaby, BC for an Ophthalmology Surgical Coordinator. The Surgical Coordinator will be responsible for surgery scheduling including adding slates, and slate submissions, maintaining a surgical wait list, customer service, and communication tasks including working closely with the Surgeon(s), the liaison between hospital OR booking staff, as well as patients ensuring their surgical journey is as smooth as possible. You will be expected to support staff on clinic days at the front desk, as well as managing the surgical coordinator duties.QualificationsSurgery SchedulingCustomer Service skillsEffective Communication skillsExperience in a healthcare settingKnowledge of oculoplastic ophthalmology procedures is a plusAttention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMedical Assistant certification or related educationAccuro EMRCompensationStarting wage $24-27 / Hour based on experience
