Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Burnaby, BC for an Ophthalmology Surgical Coordinator. The Surgical Coordinator will be responsible for surgery scheduling including adding slates, and slate submissions, maintaining a surgical wait list, customer service, and communication tasks including working closely with the Surgeon(s), the liaison between hospital OR booking staff, as well as patients ensuring their surgical journey is as smooth as possible. You will be expected to support staff on clinic days at the front desk, as well as managing the surgical coordinator duties. Qualifications Surgery Scheduling Customer Service skills Effective Communication skills Experience in a healthcare setting Knowledge of oculoplastic ophthalmology procedures is a plus Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Medical Assistant certification or related education Accuro EMR Compensation Starting wage $24-27 / Hour based on experience
