Responsibilities Support the lead trader with the execution of foreign exchange, mutual funds, equity, and fixed income transactions. Accurately communicate trade settlement instructions to custodians and brokers, ensuring timely resolution of any discrepancies. Reconcile and analyze daily transactions, promptly identifying and addressing any breaks or anomalies. Monitor and analyze corporate actions, ensuring appropriate updates to positions and accurate communication to stakeholders. Complete proxy voting requests in alignment with firm policies and client instructions. Investigate and resolve operational concerns across the trade lifecycle in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Ensure timely trade matching with external brokers in accordance with NI 24-101 guidelines, resolving any exceptions efficiently. Reconcile book values and ensure alignment between internal records and custodian data. Support the preparation and delivery of client reports for both institutional and private clients within prescribed deadlines. Contribute to ad-hoc projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing risk. Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, automation, and control enhancements. Experience/Qualifications Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) certifications are required. Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) designation will supersede CSC and CPH requirements. Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 13 years of experience in trade support, operations, or middle office roles within the financial services industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of SQL and Python is a strong asset. Self-starter with a positive attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth. Compensation Dixon Mitchell offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefit plan. The salary range is $65,000 $75,000 annually and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
