Can-Tech Services is looking for two AZ Drivers for one of our reputable Steel Fabrication & Manufacturing clients for their facilities in both Brampton and St Catherines. Type of Employment: Full time/Permanent directly on the clients payroll. Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Life insurance RRSP matching Pay: Rate is $28/hr to start with a review and an increase @ 3 months. Hours of work: Brampton shop: Monday to Thursday- 6:30 am to 4:45 pm St Catherines/Grantham shop: Monday to Thursday- 5:30 am to 5:15 pm Duties and Responsibilities: Transporting goods safely to and from specified locations. Maintaining an accurate record of all pick-ups and drop-offs, rest periods, mileage covered, fuel consumption, and toll fees. The driver will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered to the destination in a timely manner, including loading and unloading of the product. Appropriately planning driving routes to ensure that goods are delivered to specified locations in a timely manner. Local driving with rare occasions of travel to Welland as needed. Regularly inspecting and maintaining the company truck to ensure that it is roadworthy. Regularly communicating with company dispatchers to inform them of completed deliveries and delays. Promptly notifying the supervisor of any major mechanical issues, traffic violations, and accidents involving the company truck. Requirements: Valid AZ manual drivers license 2-3 years of AZ driving experience is mandatory (for insurance purposes) Clean drivers abstract Flatbed Driving experience required Boom experience (preferred) Forklift license and experience Manual transmission experience Experience with overhead cranes The products they will be moving are typically large in size, so flatbed experience is a must, along with knowledge how to safely strap down materials To apply please email your resume to Denushka Punchihewa at CTS 1
