Continuous Improvement Specialist - Supply Chain and OperationsSummaryReporting to the Vice-President of Supply Chain and Operations, the Continuous Improvement Specialist will be to serve as the onsite Lean Supply Chain and Operations expert. This individual will act as the design and change agent for the Parts Distribution facility and be the point of contact for and drive all facility & process improvement projects. The incumbent will have a broad knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma project management and process improvement strategies that will be applied and have a direct impact to operational performance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the development and maintenance of a disciplined continuous improvement program that focuses on improving quality and customer service while reducing costsEstablish and maintain a continuous improvement framework and methodologyBring focus to continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain and operationImplement a structured methodology to turn opportunities into sustained results.Identify root causes and generate, evaluate and implement solutions and measure resultsImprove profitability and service levels by driving visible process improvements, efficiencies and cost reductionsLeads employees and facilitates 5S training/implementation, Kaizen events, suggestion programs, and other improvement practices to continuously improve warehouse operations.Establish continuous improvement program:Define a structured methodology with materials, tools, etc.Leverage current Resources (KPS, 5-Gen, etc.).Deliver training and coaching to team members.Develop a pipeline of CI projectsWork with Supply Chain & Ops management team to define opportunities.Prioritize CI projects and support their execution. Lead some of the larger projects.Ensure project benefits are quantified and sustained.Champion CIGet trained on KPS and 5-Gen.Champion 5S through organization.Qualifications:Post Secondary Bachelors degree (Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management)5-10 years prior Distribution/Warehouse or supply chain experienceLean Six Sigma, TPS ,CI, Kaizen experienceProject Management experienceProven track record of implementing process changes that result in operational savingsChange Management methodologyComputer skills required, to include Microsoft office experience and warehouse management systems experienceAt least 4 years experience working in a high-volume distribution center.
