Our client is a leader manufacturer instrumentation, control and low voltage power cables industry is looking for an Apprentice Millwright 433A to join their growing team. Position is a permanent day shift role 7.00AM to 3.00 PM with eligible bonusses based on your exams and grades. Responsibilities: Responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, modification, repair, testing, configuration, commissioning and maintenance of all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical plant manufacturing equipment. Understanding of CMMS programs to conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment as directed. Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime. Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical production equipment. Understand, observe and comply with companys health and safety rules & regulations, lockout procedures and WHMIS guidelines. Work as an integral member of the maintenance / engineering team. Complete daily maintenance work orders in an efficient and timely manner. Perform other related duties as assigned or as required by Maintenance Manager. Perform basic Mig, Tig and Stick welding of different metal alloys Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and PLC an asset Qualifications: Must be a 3rd or 4th year registered apprentice Capable of physical activities such as standing for long duration, bending down, pulling and pushing and able to lift up to 50 lbs Plastic industry experience is a plus Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills with members of maintenance team, supervisors and equipment operators. Basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of CMMS module of the IFS ERP system. Receptive to working overtime on occasional weekend Motivation to meet or exceed maintenance standards Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable employee Working Conditions: Manufacturing environment where noise and dust are part of the day to day working conditions along with heavy machine exposure.
