This is an exciting time for our organizations and an opportunity to join our team at the start of something great!About the RoleWe are looking for a professional, motivated and team-orientedSenior Property Claims Representativewho will be responsible for navigating the claims process through investigation and evaluation of the loss to final settlement of claim. This is a full-time hybrid role based out of Ilderton or Seaforth Ontario, reporting to the Manager of Claims Services.Desired CompetenciesTo join our team, you will ideally:Proactive and positive approach to customer serviceExcellent conflict resolution and negotiation skillsSense of urgency and responsivenessSound decision making and problem-solving skillsSuperior verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to travel on short notice within our primary territorySuccessful candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background checkThis role will require travel. A vehicle, valid Drivers License and insurance are required.Qualifications & ExperienceUniversity Degree or post-secondary education related to insuranceCompletion of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or enrollment in the programMinimum 5 years in claims handling experience including residential, commercial, farm, and property.Experience in construction or trades, farming (agribusiness or equipment), or other relevant transferable knowledge is an assetEquivalency in combination of education and experience will be consideredOngoing commitment to education and learningCompletion of a Drivers Abstract, and Criminal Records Check will be requiredHighly capable with computer systems/software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.ResponsibilitiesEvaluating claims by conducting thorough investigations; determining coverage and validity of claims, interviewing, and communicating with members, scene investigationsAttend loss locations to investigate claim, including taking statements, photographs, and identifying scope of lossProviding exceptional customer service and support to our members throughout the claims processEvaluate liability, salvage and subrogation exposure and potentialCoordinate with contractors, appraisers, and other experts as requiredAct as claims examiner on claims assigned to independent adjustersMaintain adequate reserves and accurate records based on company standards and proceduresNegotiate settlement and issue payments for claimGeneral support of claims area and special projects as requiredWhat we offerWe are an equal opportunity employer offering:A flexible hybrid work environmentA rewarding career and comprehensive compensation & benefits packageTraining, education, and career advancement opportunitiesA work environment that is fun and friendly and supports a healthy work-life balanceAt MutualONE, your efforts will always make a difference!Interested?
