Job Description

We are seeking a temporary Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations within our wood products manufacturing facility. This 6-month assignment will focus on providing day-to-day HR support to employees and management, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining a productive and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. Support recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and onboarding. Administer and track employee attendance, leaves of absence, and timekeeping systems. Assist with employee relations matters, helping to resolve workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner. Maintain HR records and documentation in compliance with legal and company requirements. Coordinate training sessions and compliance activities related to safety and workplace policies. Support performance management processes including evaluations and documentation. Collaborate with plant leadership to support workforce planning and organizational initiatives. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
