About the Opportunity Our growing company is seeking energetic, positive, and reliable Lead Senior Piping Analyst to support our customers. Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Stress Analysis of piping systems using Caesar II, AutoPIPE, and/or PepS for sustained, hydrotest, operating, design and occasional load case conditions. Piping analysis for nuclear piping systems for CANDU nuclear generating stations, is preferred. Prepare isometrics to show pipe support loads and coordinate with piping designers to change pipe routing where required to increase flexibility to reduce stress and/or nozzle loads. Outage support including but not limited to inspection scope of work, vibration analysis, thinning rate assessments, replacement/ice plugging analysis and fracture mechanics assessment for postulated flaws. Demonstrate ability in preparing technical reports and deliverables to successful conclusion. Understanding of fundamental theories in continuum mechanics, mechanical vibrations, metal fatigue, fluid structure interaction and/or acoustics. In-depth knowledge of nuclear and/or non-nuclear codes and standards like CSA N285.0, N286.7 and N289 as well as ASME Section III Subsections NB, NC, ND, NF, ASME B31.1 and ASME Section VIII. Prior experience that supports ASME Section III Appendix XXIII Qualification for Design Report is considered an asset. Demonstrate capability to manage a knowledge-based work unit. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner. Mentor junior staff and technical oversight, as required. Prepare estimates and proposals for clients, as required. Qualifications: Proper technical background and education, typically acquired through the successful completion of a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Prior experience in the Oil & Gas or Nuclear Power Generation Industries. Preference will be given to candidates who are licensed Professional Engineers (P.Eng.) in Ontario or other provinces, or eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). Demonstrated ability to lead team of engineers and take projects to completion. Demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
