With Corporate headquarters based in Mississauga, TDG specializes in LED innovations, continually introducing new technology to provide our customers the best in the market.General Job Description:Responsible for the mechanical (electronic) aspects of the repair department at TDG. Performs manual repair of products deemed to be non-conforming to product or component requirements.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Plan and design plant layouts and facilitiesStudy new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinationsDevelop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and proceduresConduct studies and implement programs to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resourcesAnalyze costs of production for continuous improvementDesign, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programsDetermine human resource and skill requirements and develop training programsDevelop performance standards, evaluation systems and wage and incentive programsConduct studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities and production or administrative systemsDevelop maintenance standards, schedules and programsEvaluate or assess industrial facilitiesLead Design for Manufacturing reviewsDesign and manufacture of jigs and fixturesUpdate processes based on customer feedback and returnsWork Experience Requirements:Five years minimum working in a production environment in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.Shop floor experience with manual and semi-automatic product assembly processes.Experience with updating product designs in Solidworks and with Bills of MaterialsEducational RequirementsMechanical Engineering Degree with a specialization in Manufacturing.
