We currently operate two new, state-of-the-art long-term care (LTC) homes and a community hub in West Mississauga. Together, these homes provide 632 beds and are part of a broader strategy to introduce innovative programs, inclusive services, and new models of care. Our goal is to build a connected healthcare community that puts people first and provides high-quality services across the aging continuum.Position SummaryWe are seeking an Executive Director to lead operations at one of our long-term care facilities. Reporting to the Vice President, Seniors Care and Clinical Services, the Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the licensed scope of operations, ensuring resident well-being and compliance with all legislative requirements. This role also involves collaboration with clinical and support services leaders to maintain high standards of care and service. Additionally, the Executive Director will manage social and recreational programs and support services, while fostering an inclusive team culture.Key ResponsibilitiesLTC Operations ManagementProvide leadership and oversight for the effective management of long-term care operations, including administration, planning, and coordination.Ensure policies and procedures align with legislative and regulatory standards.Develop and implement strategic plans and performance goals for the facility.Promote a continuous quality improvement culture across services and programs.Lead the site-wide risk management program and respond to inspection findings.Support contract negotiations for medical and clinical services and monitor quality outcomes.Participate in the recruitment and appointment of physicians and ensure delivery of quality medical care.Oversee workforce planning and ensure appropriate staffing within the facility.Resource ManagementEnsure appropriate staffing levels to deliver high-quality resident care.Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate management and interdisciplinary teams.Support budgeting and resource control systems for responsible use of funding and supplies.Resident CareOversee care services to enhance the resident experience and ensure regulatory compliance.Lead transformative care initiatives to improve quality and outcomes.Maintain regular communication with Resident and Family Councils to address concerns and feedback.Infection ControlProvide leadership in infection prevention practices, including staff cohorting and hygiene protocols.Monitor and audit compliance with infection control procedures.Administrative Services and ProgrammingOversee support services, including food services, to ensure compliance with regulations.Manage the development of engaging social and recreational programming that supports residents physical and emotional well-being.QualificationsBachelors degree in business, healthcare, or management (Masters preferred).Certification in Long-Term Care Administration.Professional designation in health or social sciences.710 years of experience in a leadership role within long-term care or a community-based organization.
