Job Title: Systems AnalystJob Type: 12 month contract + possibility of extension, 3/4 days on-site, located in Vancouver, British Columbia.Job Salary: $43 - $49 / HourThe successful candidate will be involved in software configurations, workflow implementation and maintenance. Coordinates with engineering/systems and professional services team to develop the most cost-effective solution that meets business expectations. Day in the Life:Supports product management on functional requirements with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.Participates/Leads design discussions with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain.Has strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive clarity in complex and ambiguous scenarios.Proficient with systems-thinking and able to articulate them to various groups across the organization.Owns making configuration within the selected platformsGuides teams to resolve complex and severe technical issues.Supports one or more moderately to highly complex business processesUndertakes production support and incident management responsibilitiesChampions best practices around data standards, policies, and proceduresEngages with solution architect and engineers to design/configure solutionsSupports/involves in ensuring quality of delivery processesLeads end-to-end testing as a SME and supports business stakeholders during UAT. Must Haves:Education and/or strong work experience in Information Technology or a related field.Possess expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cyclesProven experience with large-scale systems/application implementation.4+ years as Systems Analyst or System administratorExperience in a retail environment is an asset.Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting complex software systems, including production supportExperience setting up support processes, monitoring/alerting/dashboarding for production software systems and interpreting telemetryAny experience with CBX Software would be a big plusHas good understanding of development platforms (packaged and/or custom) within a functional domain.Understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprises competitive edge.
