Job Title: Systems Analyst Job Type: 12 month contract + possibility of extension, 3/4 days on-site, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Job Salary: $43 - $49 / Hour The successful candidate will be involved in software configurations, workflow implementation and maintenance. Coordinates with engineering/systems and professional services team to develop the most cost-effective solution that meets business expectations. Day in the Life: Supports product management on functional requirements with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain. Participates/Leads design discussions with understanding of process, data and system flows to facilitate design decisions within a functional domain. Has strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive clarity in complex and ambiguous scenarios. Proficient with systems-thinking and able to articulate them to various groups across the organization. Owns making configuration within the selected platforms Guides teams to resolve complex and severe technical issues. Supports one or more moderately to highly complex business processes Undertakes production support and incident management responsibilities Champions best practices around data standards, policies, and procedures Engages with solution architect and engineers to design/configure solutions Supports/involves in ensuring quality of delivery processes Leads end-to-end testing as a SME and supports business stakeholders during UAT. Must Haves: Education and/or strong work experience in Information Technology or a related field. Possess expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cycles Proven experience with large-scale systems/application implementation. 4+ years as Systems Analyst or System administrator Experience in a retail environment is an asset. Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting complex software systems, including production support Experience setting up support processes, monitoring/alerting/dashboarding for production software systems and interpreting telemetry Any experience with CBX Software would be a big plus Has good understanding of development platforms (packaged and/or custom) within a functional domain. Understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprises competitive edge.
