Assistant Site Superintendent Fitzrovia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our construction team. Key Responsibilities Support the Site Superintendent in ensuring all on-site construction activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. Monitor work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors to guarantee project plans and schedules are followed. Cover leadership roles and provide guidance to project team members to promote their development and career advancement. Contribute to the creation of a construction plan and oversee subcontractor activities. Supervise and coordinate field engineering and construction activities. Assure compliance with project construction schedules and implement systems to deliver projects on time and within budget. Evaluate that projects meet quality standards by verifying compliance with approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes. Participate in trade meetings with internal and external stakeholders to track and support ongoing project progression. Contribute to project reporting that accurately tracks site progress against baseline schedules, events, inspections, and other relevant information. Evaluate and update schedule, extra/credit logs, forecasting Division 1 concrete and rebar supplies. Maintain a safe working environment for all site workers, visitors, and area residents by adhering to Health and Safety Manual and Site-Specific Health and Safety Manuals. Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project by promoting overall compliance with HS&E standards, OH&S acts, regulations, and codes. Requirements 3+ years of experience in construction management, site supervision, or a related field. Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is preferred. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations, including OH&S standards. Experience coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, and ensuring project schedules and budgets are met. Able to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Proficient in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues in a fast-paced environment. Experience with deficiency management, quality control, and final inspections is an asset.
