The ideal candidate will be responsible for product sales to a set of customers in the Ottawa region. The Territory Manager position includes: suggesting new items or line extensions, presenting promotional opportunities and displays, suggesting items for cross merchandising, and identifying opportunities to increase sales of current items. This candidate should have an ability to understand customers needs the given territory. Responsibilities:Complete sales calls, merchandise and explain product to retail locationsPresent new items, new placements, and available promotional opportunitiesRecommend item replacements for slow or discontinued items and propose items for cross-merchandising.Partner with assigned customers on promotional / marketing planningProducts include seasonal, holiday or other event displaysResponsible for stocking, merchandising and maintaining adequate inventory levels Prepare and process paperwork and reports (i.e. sales activity reports, credits, and expense reports)Audit store shelves to ensure shelf tags are in place, displays are properly executed and write orders for replenishment as necessaryMaintain positive relationships with store manager. Partner to resolve store challenges. Partner with cross functional departments as needed.QualificationsMinimum of two (2) years sales experience in the food/beverage industry or consumer packaged good industry requiredBachelor’s degree, or College diploma in Business, Sales or MarketingIntermediate computer skills, ability to work with an online sales portalProficiency in MS Office (specifically Word and Excel)Must have current and valid driver’s license and proof of insurance and be able to travelStrong management, time management and communication skillsAbility to work in fast paced working environment
