MANAGER - FIELD RESOURCESGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the direction of the General Superintendent for general direction and project related daily tasks, the Manager Field Resources will be responsible for full cycle management of the CMC5 hourly workforce. The position is considered a full time office position and will typically be in the corporate office. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Recruit and select trades candidates based on skillset and corporate needOrientation of all new field employees to corporate policyReceive and interpret requests for site personnelLiaise with Superintendents and/or Project Managers to determine urgency and skillset requiredTrack staff site changesProvide assistance to the General Superintendent to forecast manpower allocations and future labour requirementsParticipate in manpower planning including short term and long term personnel requirementsLiaise with Site Superintendents, Project Managers, and Safety Personnel regarding site operations and effective construction proceduresManage performance (quality, workmanship, and productivity) of field resources, giving guidance and feedback as needed including reviewing and approving training objectivesMaintain and develop our succession and Apprenticeship strategiesAssist in improvements to existing procedures as well as development of new processesSite visits as needed to engage and build strong relationshipsCompensation reviews for trades staff with approval to be routed through managementHealth and Safety training and participation, i.e. Prime Contractor, LSE. Assist the corporate Health & Safety personnel as required. Participate in Health and Safety committee meetings as requested.Participate in work career fairs and events.Engage and build relationships with third party trades organizations.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Construction Engineering or related discipline preferred.EXPERIENCE: A minimum 5+ years in related fields. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Computer skills, Microsoft Suites, Excel, Word, ProjectAnalytical skills in collecting and organizing statistical data; analysing, maintaining accurate records. Communication; ability to communicate with internal and external personnel, liaise with multiple stakeholders and prepare professional presentation documentation.
