One of our key clients - a pioneer in remote work and cloud-based collaboration software - is expanding its internal platform engineering efforts. Were seeking a DevOps Team Lead to help lead the charge in evolving their cloud-native infrastructure and empowering development teams across the organization.This is a rare opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while shaping the DevOps culture of a company used by millions worldwide. Youll lead a small, agile team embedded in our clients engineering environment, focused on platform scalability, automation, and operational excellence.As the DevOps Team Lead, you will:Drive Platform Engineering: Lead the design and development of platform tooling to support containerized workloads on Kubernetes. You'll focus on building reusable infrastructure components - like service mesh integrations, ingress controllers, and internal developer tools - to streamline deployments across hybrid cloud environments.Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with architects, SREs, and product engineers at the client site to deliver scalable solutions. Youll play a key role in defining best practices for service discovery, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.Lead With Empathy: Mentor DevOps engineers on your team, facilitate sprint planning, and foster an environment of psychological safety and continuous learning. Youll also help lead technical design reviews and collaborate with product and engineering managers to shape priorities.Champion DevOps Culture: Promote automation, transparency, and reliability across the delivery lifecycle - introducing and evangelizing new tools and approaches to accelerate deployment and reduce operational friction.Requirements5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a team leadership roleDeep knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environmentsStrong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP or OCI a plus)Comfort with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm), CI/CD pipelines, and service mesh conceptsA collaborative mindset with excellent communication and conflict resolution skillsA passion for mentoring and building inclusive, high-performing teams
