Job Title: Senior Naval ArchitectOn-site/ Remote/ Hybrid: On SiteLocation: Hamilton, ONJob Type: Full TimeOur client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Naval Architect to join their team in Hamilton, ON. This position is a key role in leading and managing various aspects of marine engineering projects from conceptual design to construction and delivery. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in naval architecture to develop solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.Responsibilities :Lead and manage the engineering team providing technical guidance and mentorship to Junior Naval Architects within the teamDevelop scopes definitions for projects.Communicate and collaborate effectively and be collaborative with the team and project stakeholders.Ability to review and perform detailed calculations, simulations, and engineering analyses to assess and validate design concepts and specifications.Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design, and preliminary analysis to evaluate design options to propose optimal solutions.Utilize advance software tools and simulation techniques to model, analyze and optimize vessel performance, stability and structural integrity.Be able to liaise with clients, flag state regulators, classification societies and shipyards to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and project specificationsParticipate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project presentationsDuties to the Company:Deliver projects in a timely manner.Support the client with their project to the best of their ability.Be a strong team player that can help themselves and their teammates achieve successwithin a project.Help be part of the growth of the company and represent BYD Naval Architects by conducting themselves professionally.Be continually looking to improve their knowledge and sharpen their skills.Requirements :Bachelor of Engineering in Naval ArchitectureMasters of Engineering in Naval Architecture5-8 years experienceProfessional Engineer (P.Eng)Experience using AutoCAD, Rhino, Autodesk PDM Collection, GHS, and MaxsurfExperience using Microsoft SuiteBenefits :Competitive Salary commensurate with experienceHealth and wellness benefits packageSupport for professional development and career advancementDynamic and collaborative work environmentDuke Marine Technical Services Canada Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
