InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm involved in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.Our client, a leading electronic manufacturing firm, is currently looking for a Process Engineering SMT Specialist to join their growing team.Demonstrating a strong working knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, the Process engineering SMT specialist (PESS) is responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing processes are optimized and function effectively. The PESS is knowledgeable about surface mount technology, SMT Reflow, automated optical inspection, solder paste inspection, and quality inspection. Focused on collaborative problem-solving, the PESS works to minimize down-time on the production lines as well as improve line efficiencies, quality, and processes.Responsibilities:Work directly with the Process Engineering Manager to assist with all manufacturing process related functions, including process implementation, Process trouble shooting, and process improvements.Assist in continuous improvement initiatives.Collect data and provide spreadsheet analysis including product data, yield reports and any other information as needed.Continuous improvement initiativesKeep the SMT working area in good order.Follow all relative regulations, policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Qualifications:High School diploma or higher2-5 years of experience in electronics assembly and manufacturing.Knowledge of processes on the production floor these include Surface Mount Technology, SMT Reflow, AOI, and Inspection.Conformal Coating knowledge is an assetHand and wave soldering knowledge is an assetReflow Profile experience/understandingProcess tooling (Assembly jigs, SMT carriers. etc.)IPC acceptability knowledge an assetWork instructions and process flow experienceAdvanced computer skills, MS Office is a must.Employment Rewards:Day Shift Monday FridayOpportunity to gain experience fulfilling a wide variety of tasksFull Time Permanent Position.Application Process:All Qualified candidates will be contacted.InVision is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind.
