Our customers have named our EQ Bank digital platform (eqbank.ca) one of the top banks in Canada on the Forbes World's Best Banks list since 2021.The WorkThe Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for managing and growing high-value accounts within Equitable Banks portfolio, with a focus on driving sales, enhancing relationships, and increasing market share within specified networks. The SAM will work closely with key brokerages, within specified networks to ensure the success and long-term growth of these partnerships. This role requires the ability to strategically assess the needs of individual brokerages within a specified network and work with other stakeholders in sales and operations to implement positive changes that increase market share.The core parts of your role would be to:1. Account ManagementManage and build strong, long-lasting relationships with key strategic accounts, including super brokers and other high-volume clientsDevelop and execute strategic account plans tailored to the specific needs of each account to drive growth and meet sales targetsMonitor account performance, including sales volumes, market share, and other key metrics, to ensure targets are met and exceededProactively identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and work to capitalize on those opportunities to increase market shareMaintain ongoing communication with account stakeholders to address any issues, gather feedback, and identify new sales opportunitiesCollaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Credit, to deliver solutions that meet account-specific needs and ensure a smooth customer experience Market Growth & Business DevelopmentCollaborate with the Senior Director of Residential Sales and other internal stakeholders to identify and pursue growth opportunities in the marketConduct research and analysis to identify trends and areas for growth within assigned accounts, ensuring Equitable Bank is well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunitiesAssist in expanding the Banks footprint in new regions or verticals by leveraging strategic account relationships to build a stronger market presenceDevelop and execute sales strategies that align with the Banks overall growth objectives while maintaining a focus on profitability Relationship Building & NetworkingCultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at high-value brokerages, super brokers, and other strategic partnersRepresent Equitable Bank at industry events, conferences, webinars, and other networking opportunities to increase visibility and create new business connectionsConduct regular meetings with accounts to foster engagement, identify challenges, and develop solutions to address concerns and improve serviceEngage in ongoing communication with strategic partners to ensure Equitable Banks products and services are top-of-mind when new opportunities arise Sales Reporting & ForecastingProvide regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market trends to the Senior Director of Residential SalesWork closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and promotional strategiesMonitor sales pipelines, track progress, and forecast future opportunities to ensure accurate reporting and resource planningMaintain and update accurate records of all interactions and opportunities within the CRM systemLet's Talk About You!5-8 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within the residential or financial services industryProven track record of managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growthStrong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skillsAbility to analyze account performance data and market trends to develop strategic sales plansDemonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level executives and key stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneouslyBachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferredJob Complexities/Thinking ChallengesAbility to navigate complex customer needs and resolve issues in a timely manner while managing multiple high-value accountsStrategic thinking and market analysis are required to drive business development efforts and identify opportunities for expansionThe role requires a high level of relationship management and the ability to influence key stakeholders at multiple levelsWhat we offer (For full-time permanent roles) Competitive discretionary bonus Market leading RRSP match program
