Child & Youth Worker/Support Staff Location:Full-time / Part-time / TemporaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child & Youth Worker/Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and youth facing various challenges.The Support Worker is responsible for providing direct care, emotional support, and advocacy for children and youth in care. This role involves building trusting relationships, implementing personalized care plans, and working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the well-being and development of those served. Relationship Building:Establish and maintain trusting and supportive relationships with individuals served by the organization, particularly children and youth.Offer guidance and encouragement to help individuals build resilience and self-confidence.# Intervention Implementation:Organize activities and programs that promote social and emotional development, life skills, and community involvement.Ensure that all documentation meets organizational and regulatory standards.# Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all interactions and activities.Self-Care:Prioritize personal well-being and self-care to maintain resilience and effectiveness in the role.Diploma or degree in Social Work, Developmental Service Work, Psychology, or a related field.Previous experience working with children, youth, or vulnerable populations is highly desirable.Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral management techniques.Residential careMay require flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends.com for more information about the application process and upcoming training sessions.
