Job purposeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Integrated Production to join our studio on a one-year maternity leave contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production processes, with expertise in print, activation, HTML, AI, retouching, and 2D/3D. You will have a proven track record in an agency environment, managing projects and teams from concept to completion. As Director of Integrated Production, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of studio production, collaborating closely with agency partners and clients to ensure the seamless execution of high-quality, innovative, and effective advertising campaigns, delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic individual with a deep understanding of production, a strong creative vision, and exceptional leadership skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Production Oversight:Manage the end-to-end production process for all studio projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.Define project scope, including costs, timelines, and budgets.Strategically allocate resources, optimizing team utilization and managing the freelance pipeline.Develop and maintain production schedules using tools like Smartsheet and Float for ongoing project resource allocation.Account Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.Lead briefing and scoping sessions, addressing cost, quality, and timeline considerations.Provide regular status updates via Slack and other communication channels.Manage feedback processes, including project post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives.Team Management:Provide leadership and oversight as the central resource for support strategy and execution.Foster seamless collaboration and efficient workflows within the studio team.Delegate tasks effectively, resourcing a team of 5-8 integrated producers with the appropriate talent for each project.Conduct performance management activities, including career conversations, to ensure the growth and development of direct reports.Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.Act as the key stakeholder and escalation point for all support-related matters.Technical Expertise:Maintain a strong understanding of the design and project pipeline, from concept to development and final delivery.Possess familiarity with software used by the production and motion design teams (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Cinema 4D, Maya) and the associated technical challenges.Understand the technical specifications for various media platforms (e.g., digital, broadcast, social) and ensure projects meet these requirements.QualificationsGraphic arts/communications degree/diploma or relevant experience within an advertising agency environment. (or equivalent industry experience).A degree or certification in project management, production or a related field would be a valuable asset. 10-15 years of experience as a an Integrated Producer, with at least 5 years at a Senior levelExperience producing 2D and 3D motion projectsExperience producing print projects, direct mail projects being a plusExperience working with generative AI technologies in a production environment would be highly beneficial. Experience with AR/VR or other immersive technologies Familiarity with motion capture and real-time 3D rendering workflows.Experience working with global production teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues under tight deadlines.
