The organizations goal is to keep pushing until all people with cystic fibrosis can experience a full, healthy life, without limits.THE ROLE AND IMPACT:Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing accounts payable, supporting the month-end/quarter-end closing; including preparing journal entries and maintaining balance sheet accounts with schedules.RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH: Ensuring all invoices, expense reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations are aligned with policies, are coded correctly, and have the appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.Processing all payments based on scheduled payment runs, and special requests as needed.Maintaining accounts payable records, vendor records and invoices for audit purposes.Calculating and tracking GST/HST/QST/PSTEnsuring monthly and quarterly entries are completed and schedules are updated for prepaids, depreciation, etc.Maintaining balance sheet accounts, reconciliations and applicable schedules.Ensuring expenses are recorded accurately in the sub-ledgers.Preparing journal entries as needed, including entries at month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and for the annual audit.Monitoring bank account balances and requesting fund transfers when established thresholds are met.Maintaining and preparing schedules for the annual financial audit, with appropriate back-up documentation.Answering all accounts payable related inquiries and providing support and answering queries from other departments.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.WHAT YOU BRING:Post-secondary Accounting diploma or certificateMinimum of two (2) years of accounting experience in AP and GLProficient in Microsoft Office, including ExcelExperience working with Sage Intacct or a comparable accounting software is considered an assetExtremely detail-oriented and organizedAbility to work in ambiguity, independently, and meet deadlinesWorks well in a team environmentAbility to communicate and collaborate across teamsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsWHAT WE OFFER:Collaborative, dynamic, and passionate work environment, with colleagues who are driven and motivated for this community.A company culture rooted in empathy, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Flexible working scheduleRemote and hybrid work model offeredPlease submit your resume and cover letter directly through LinkedIn Cystic Fibrosis Canada thanks all applicants in advance.
