This will include recruitment strategies for seasonal workforce and someone with a strong commitment to Health & Safety.Reporting directly to the Director, this is a key role would be ideal for a mature, self-directed professional who brings a strong sense of ownership and thrives in an autonomous, rural setting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle HR functions, including onboarding, policy enforcement, and complianceLead seasonal recruitment efforts (MarchMay), with a specific focus on labourer rolesOversee employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolutionAdminister H&S policies and programs; lead WSIB excellence initiativesCollaborate with third-party legal for union matters as they ariseSupport and enhance onboarding software and dispatch systemsMaintain accurate HR records and compliance documentationAbility to plan employee based team eventsQualifications:3+ years experience as an HR Generalist or prior experience within a Standalone HR focused roleCHRP or CHRL or currently in process of obtaining designationExperience managing HR and Health & Safety programsA mature, self-motivated individual who takes initiative without constant oversightStrong working knowledge of Ontario labour laws and compliance practicesValid G-class drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle as there is no public transit near the facultyBackground in construction, manufacturing, or industrial services (added bonus)Experience with seasonal workforce planningCompensation & PerksRRSP matching program for employeesComprehensive benefits packageChristmas bonus (after one year)Company-wide holiday shutdown (days between Christmas & New Years!)Casual work environment with regular team events
